The debut album of the Valley Jazz Orchestra features Grammy-award winning guest artists John Daversa and Josh Deutsch, LVC saxophone professor Tom Strohman, and LVC student musicians. The album showcases the music of Dr. Justin Morell, Professor of Music at LVC and composer in residence. Students spent two long days in the recording studios at the end of the semester. The project required several hours of logistical preparation by our student recording engineer, Adam Young, who also happens to be our bassist. Enlisting the help of Zach Krouse, another audio engineer major at LVC, the duo put together a nearly flawless recording experience, despite the complex setup required to make this session happen.
Listen to the album on the Valley Jazz Orchestra Bandcamp page, Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, or anywhere you stream music.
We have a limited number of vinyl pressings available for purchase at any of our LVC jazz events. Visit the LVC events page for info on jazz and all music performances at Lebanon Valley College.
